The SCO Foundation

 
The SCO Foundation is a Public Fund established for raising funds to support the promotion of new music and contemporary composers.
 
It is a sub-committee of the Sydney Contemporary Orchestra Incorporation Management Committee and administered by The SCO Foundation Committee. 
 
The Sydney Contemporary Orchestra Inc. (SCO) and The SCO Foundation is registered as a non-profit musical organization by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, that it operates is listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations under Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. 
 
All revenue (donations, sponsorships, gifts, concert ticket sales, etc.) will go towards The SCO Foundation, to be used for promoting new music and contemporary composers.

Patron Levels: 

  • Orchestra - $40,000 AUD+
  • Chamber - $20,000 AUD - $39,999 AUD
  • Quartet - $10,000 AUD - $19,000 AUD
  • Solo - $5,000 AUD - 9,999 AUD

CASH DONATIONS

Individuals and companies may donate any amount above $100 via an online donation form.

All contributions (donations, gifts) are tax-deductible in Australia. 

To qualify as a deduction under Division 30 of the Act, a gift must be given voluntarily without the donor receiving any material advantage or benefit in return; otherwise, it is not considered to be a ‘gift’. Donors may not put any conditions on a gift. Donors will be acknowledged on our website, programs, annual reports as our honor Patrons (unless you wish to remain anonymous). However, no form of prominent advertising such as corporate logos may be used.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

To support us, you may wish to be a volunteer Manager.

Volunteer Managers will undertake a wide range of tasks in management including fund-raising, and managing the Youth Symphony orchestras.
